Arrayit is changing the way human disease is managed by providing powerful platforms for genetic screening, testing, and diagnostics.
Overview
 Arrayit has developed and patented (U.S. 6,913,879) Next Generation Screening® technology for human disease screening, blood typing, parentage testing, forensics, human leukocyte antigen (HLA) analysis, and infectious disease diagnosis. In one embodiment of the technology, amplified DNA samples from many different patients are printed into a microarray, and screened for genetic variants of interest. Arrayit’s multi-patient microarrays screen as many as 100,000 patients in a single test. The patented, multi-patient approach greatly reduces cost by amortizing the procedure over many patients, and improves testing accuracy by utilizing a single synthetic testing mixture on all of the patient samples. Arrayit technology can be used to screen patients for genetic diseases, neonatal disorders, infectious diseases, and any other trait that has a DNA basis. Next Generation Screening® tests are currently are being developed for cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and dozens of serious diseases that are treatable by early detection. The Arrayit approach can also be used to identify disease carriers and for forensics, food safety testing, parentage testing, HLA screening, blood typing and anti-terrorism analysis. Our children, grandchildren, and generations to come will benefit from this exciting new technology that leverages the Human Genome Project and innovative life science products. Arrayit offers a full line of products and services to empower pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, public health departments, clinical laboratories, and universities to develop genetic screening and diagnostic tests that are fast, affordable, and highly accurate.
