Paul Haje’s ArrayIt® team wins ad award.

Sunnyvale, CA, August 7, 2003 – On August 4th Signet Research and PharmaGenomics announced that a recent ArrayIt® advertisement received the highest score of any Life Sciences company, winning by substantial numbers over competing ads by Applied Biosystems, Roche Diagnostics, Invitrogen, Amersham, and BD Biosciences. Mr. Haje’s advertisement appeared in the February 2003 issue of the journal PharmaGenomics, and featured ArrayIt®’s Super Microarray Substrates product line.

Signet Research Inc. was established in 1968 as a full-service marketing research firm specializing in gathering marketing and market information to fit specific client needs.  Signet uses a combination of mail and electronic mail surveys, telephone and personal interviews, questionnaires, and focus groups to generate independently derived, object data.  PharmaGenomics is an international scientific journal dedicated to serving the genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, and diagnostics communities. Signet performed an independent performance survey of all of the ads in PharmaGenomics, and assigned an AdProbe™ score of 88% to ArrayIt® compared to lesser scores for Bio-Rad Laboratories (69%), Applied Biosystems (68%), Roche (67%), Invitrogen (66%), Agilent Technologies (66%), Amersham (62%), and BD Biosciences (60%).

Paul Haje, ArrayIt®’s Director of Public Relations and Promotions, was delighted to learn of the Signet award.  “My team and I devote a lot of creativity to our print ads, we work closely with the scientific and corporate staff at TeleChem to make sure our ads are technically sound, educational, and appealing. We were satisfied with the ad when it was completed, but had no idea it would achieve the top spot out of all the full-page ads evaluated in the Signet survey.  To outperform seven of the world’s most distinguished public companies, having a combined market cap of over $50 billion and a combined advertising budget of over $3 billion - plus the other 21 companies we outperformed - is fantastic.”
